Chef Anthony Gonçalves
The best way to get to know Anthony is through his food. Every dish he serves is a celebration of the finest locally and globally sourced ingredients, and the heritage behind them. He is fueled by his connections to Portugal; to it's history, artisans, products and people.
He orchestrates the Kanopi experience through cooking with intention, focus, love, and the endless support of the team. Many of the team-members working with Anthony today have been by his side for over 16 years and have garnered “Excellent” reviews from the likes of the New York Times. Anthony is honored to have been a Semi-Finalist for the James Beard Foundation Annual Awards as Best Chef: New York State.
Colin Mead
When you meet Colin, it’s never the wrong time. He is ever ready to assist in the planning and execution of events of all types and sizes, and to immerse you in Kanopi's hospitality.
Colin’s appreciation for food stems from growing up on his family farm in upstate New York. Colin first crossed paths with Chef Anthony at the White Plains farmers market over two decades ago. After moving to Westchester, Colin was hired by Anthony’s late mother, Mary. Colin has spent his entire professional career working alongside Anthony.
Colin believes personal and attentive service combined with delicious food to be the perfect recipe for a comfortable yet elegant experience. Colin is raising his two children in White Plains, and is very proud to be a part of the Kanopi family.
